I bought and moved into a new home around the same time that I was started to teach myself the Sketchup program. As practice I began to build out the walls of my new kitchen space in Sketchup, as I wanted to do a small kitchen update to the house and I thought it might help me visualize the final product. Very soon I couldn’t stop and this small side-project soon expanded to the building out the rest of the house including the living room, 2.5 bathrooms and both bedrooms. I also took this opportunity to familiarize myself with the free Twilight Rendering software to give my renderings a bit more realism. I had a lot of fun with this model and still use it to test out new furniture design concepts in space.
